Eid Al-Adha or Bakra
Eid is being celebrated by Muslims across the world and in India too, starting
from early morning as they visited mosques and other areas marked out for the
congregation to offer special Eid Namaz.
BakraEid (
Eid-al-Adha ) is being celebrated by all muslim brothers & sisters in Agra
as well as across the country joy fully. Early all children and elders dress up
in new and white, going to Taj Mahal Mosque and other Mosque in Agra. Namaz is
performed any time after the sun completely rise up. This is very beautifull
day for tourist to watch them performing Namaz and they are taking picture from
plateform of Taj Mahal. After Namaz Muslim & all their friends greeting
each other and huging. Taj Mahal complex and garden is full of people and
Tourist greeting each other.
How is Qurbani meat distributed ?
After Namaz, Namazi
come back home and an animal is sacrificed and divided into three parts: one
third of the share is given to the poor and needy; another third is given to
relatives, friends and neighbors; and the remaining third is retained by the
family.
What is Eid ul Adha ?
Eid
ulAdha (the Festival of Sacrifice) is the three-day festival that
marks the Hajj pilgrimage and Qurbani, to commemorate the sacrifice the Prophet
Ibrahim (alaihis salaam) was willing to perform of his son Ismail (alaihis
salaam) for Allah, who spared his son by sending down a ram to take his place.
Eid ul Adha, a time
for Muslims to thank Allah for the blessings they have received, and to
celebrate with their families, friends and relatives. It is also a time to
remember the less fortunate and well-off through the act of Qurbani, donations
and gifts, so they can also celebrate the occasion.
